A good, rich nose of red cherries and a touch of blueberry. Nice balance of spice, cinnamon, pepper, tobacco leaf, a bit of smoke. High acidity and big tannins, though these are fine and well structured. Good and ready; tannins are resolving nicely!. Organic.

A rather ripe and slightly warm but also very fresh, balanced and structure-driven Chianti Classico Riserva. The wine still comes across as very harmonious and classically styled in character. With its intense, concentrated and wonderfully pure Sangiovese fruit and impressive structure, I have no doubts this wine will evolve gracefully for another decade or two.
