Hidden underneath upon opening is expressiveness of the nose so I would suggest decanting it first. There is good volume and richness to the attractively precise and energetic flavors that exude a discreet earthiness on the ever-so-slightly austere finish. This is a very fine and ageworthy Bourgogne that is worth a look.
