With fruit coming from Volnay and the Cote Chalonnaise, the 2016 Bourgogne Rouge has a very ripe, slightly unruly kirsch scented nose at the moment that needs to calm down by the time of bottling. The palate is medium-bodied with sweet candied cherry fruit with an easy drinking, almost Beaujolais like finish.
