Rosso dei Politici is the ripe, soft, gulpable red wine of Abruzzi, made from 100% Montepulciano grown in vineyards around Loreto Aprutino, half-way between the Apennine mountains and the Adriatic sea. Certainly a richer wine than expected while still offering a velvety softness on the palate with a delicious blast of black cherry fruit.

This is all red fruits and berries, cleverly combining Sangiovese with its more savoury flavours and finish, with the juicier profile of Merlot.
